Petroweb Solutions Announcement
Petroweb Solutions Ltd. is pleased
to announce that it has signed an Agreement with
Atlas Interactive Limited (a leading global
provider of e-Learning systems to the oil and gas
industry) whereby all the core products (mainly
DETAIL™ and SafetyRep™) including all the related
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are passed on to
Atlas Interactive Limited.
This also means that the current
Petroweb Solutions operations have moved to the
Atlas head office at Offshore House (Bridge of Don),
including all the staff and management. Please see
our revised office location and directions at the 'Directions
/ Maps' section.
The effective date of this
arrangement is 28/10/2004.
All current and future clients of
Petroweb Solutions will now be served through the
Atlas Interactive team, providing a more robust and
secure future for our applications and support for
our clients.
Offshore Europe 2003
Petroweb
Solutions will be exhibiting for the first time
at the Offshore Europe Oil Exhibition,
which will be held from 02/09/2003 until 05/09/2003
at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre.
The Petroweb stand will be one of 14 stands which
are all part of the LOGIC e-Pavillion (stand no.
1093/4).
Managing Director Harry
van der Vossen commented; "This
is our first participation as exhibitors at the
Aberdeen oil show and we have taken the opportunity
to tie in some major events in the company. First
of all, Offshore Europe will see our first public
display of our new corporate brand, which involves
a new logo, new colours and a new look. As the
'old' Petroweb Solutions brand was a variation
on the original Petroweb brand, we felt it was
important to demonstrate with our new image that
we have taken a new direction and business focus".
The second major event
we are delighted to announce is the release of
our latest product SafetyRep™ which
is a very sophisticated (web-based) Incident Reporting
and Safety Management system. SafetyRep was developed
in close cooperation with DONG A/S (Denmark) to
suit their internal requirements for the reporting
and processing of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety
and Environment) incidents. With the system now
fully up and running in DONG, we are using Offshore
Europe as a platform to launch this product.
Our now well established
Lessons Learned Management system DETAIL™ will
of course also feature prominently and we offer
visitors a brief demonstration
and if interested, an information packed CD-ROM
which contains a screen-based video of a full introduction
and system demonstration, which is as near a personal
live demonstration as you can get.
We also have some nice corporate gifts for our
visitors, so please do come along and pay us a
visit at stand no. 1234

New Corporate Identity back to top
Petroweb Solutions has been working with the New Media department of Iteras Ltd.
on the re-branding of our company.
Harry van der Vossen, Managing Director of Petroweb Solutions said:
"Petroweb
Solutions was in need of a corporate make-over to remove the legacy it had with
Petroweb Ltd. The timing of Offshore Europe gave us a nice push to get this all
established and with the professional input from Iteras, I believe we have now
got a more corporate look for the company."

Wintershall Trial back to top
Wintershall AG (Kassel, Germany) part of the giant BASF corporation, has started
a local trial of the DETAIL Lessons Learned Management system for their North
Sea operations, run by Wintershall Noordzee B.V. in The Hague.
The trial which commenced on the 1st September 2003 is expected to last until
the end of this year, after which it will be decided if it should be rolled out
across their global operations.
Harry van der Vossen, Managing Director of Petroweb Solutions added; "This
is a quite interesting new prospect and differs from all our previous clients,
in that our contact with Wintershall has mainly been through e-mail only. At
some point it was decided to mail each of the Drilling Managers a copy of the
DETAIL demonstration CD-ROM and as a result of the feedback, it was decided to
run an extended trial in Holland. Up to that point, there had been no face to
face presentations or meetings, which is quite unusual but proves the point that
business can be done globally and remotely.
However, we did arrange for a meeting and further demonstration after the trial
decision was made, to ensure that the people involved have a good understanding
of the process and the full functionality. At that meeting it also become apparent
that DETAIL was going to be a near perfect match for the process they had started
internally using a mix of standard office tools. The advantage that DETAIL will
bring to this situation is that the process is formalised, web-enabled and ultimately
allowing key lessons to be shared across the organisation. It will also make
the follow-up an close out of action items more streamlined, controlled and auditable.
We will work closely with Wintershall to ensure that the evaluation trial will
be successful and hopefully lead to a further sale and global implementation
in this company.

Contract With Venture back to top
Petroweb Solutions is very pleased to announce that it has gained its 8th Client
for its highly successful Lessons Learned Management system DETAIL™. Venture
Production plc based in Aberdeen, Scotland recently completed a 2 month trial
of the system and concluded that the product would provide them with the right
framework and process to fulfil their corporate requirements for a knowledge
capture system, which was deemed a critical success factor in their rapidly growing
company.
With the intention to integrate the use of DETAIL in the well planning and operations
process, Venture envisage major cost savings as a result.
Harry van der Vossen, Managing Director of Petroweb Solutions said:
"
After
some very positively received presentations and demonstrations of the product,
it seemed that the best way forward for this particular client, was to set-up
a live trial / evaluation period which would support some of their new drilling
plans. DETAIL proved quickly that their engineers are prepared to use the system
and would see real benefit in the support of their job. go through with all our
customers to ensure that we do not force them to fit the DETAIL system, but that
DETAIL is made to fit their requirements and situation. This will give the best
change of success for the system, as the people who will use it, will have had
a say in how it is ultimately going to work for them."
